Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit my employer
Novell which is an amazing company, and also
Dell who in days of yore provided me with a
free laptop for Gnome development / conferences.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.

- Tried to let J. have a nice lie-in, thwarted by
a screaming baby, set off to pre-school with the babes, while
the gas-meter man, post-man, and some phone callers conspired
to keep J. awake.
- Call from Fridrich - good a good time to pick him
up sorted out, checked mail quickly: it turns out Michael Matz
is my all time personal hero: seemingly solved my binutils
issue by some cunning: generating synthetic input sections
etc. wow. Also - amused to see a post from Eric McVicker of
Boeing on the binutils list: wanting a new 'EXCLUDE' linker
script command to avoid certain ranges of memory:
For our specific purposes we have
computers that cannot have their equipment changed out (they're launched
satellites). As the hardware has aged, some memory banks have developed
address ranges that are bad. However, we run in a memory constrained
environment, so we can't just ignore massive chunks of memory.
Apparently, there are worse troubles in
space.
- Shower, off to pick up the Strba.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Novell, The
Lithuanian Gov't or Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's also important to
realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences,
bio.
or fun.
