Up slightly later - babes didn't wake until 8am; to
work. Certain amount of reverting of over-enthusiastic package
upgrades in an attempt to isolate some functionality drop-offs.

Spent a looong time trying to work out who is killing my
X server when I press enter. Team meeting. Dinner with Mary Rogers,
lovely to see her again. Tried to make
p $_siginfo work
in gdb - which failed even for my banal test: botheration.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
