Stuff Michael Meeks is doing

This is my (in)activity log. You might like to visit my employer
Novell which is an amazing company, and also
Dell who in days of yore provided me with a
free laptop for Gnome development / conferences.
Also if you have the time to read this sort of stuff you could enlighten
yourself by going to Unraveling Wittgenstein's net or if
you are feeling objectionable perhaps here.

Up early, breakfast with the girls, worked the morning fixing
images, tweaking & testing this & that for Computex. Fun to work
with JP & Guy (and of course our Taiwanese team) in Taiwan, an
exhausted but burningly productive Aaron working multiple timezones in
a row, Srini in India, and having a truly constant development process.
-
Really cool to see our (not yet loved enough) Moblin UI channel
turned into something cool looking, and get interest from Andrew in: Goblin
it'll be great to get that all integrated nicely, after the Computex
crunch.
-
Amused to read some Cubano / Banshee code, and see the conflation
of probing for technologies, along with IInterface naming: the compelling
ISupportClutter interface sounds useful.
-
Out to the national Lilac park in the afternoon - wandered trying
to climb trees with H. encouraging M. to stagger ever onwards, fun in the
sun. A tad more hacking, and dinner with Peggy when back.
-
Off westwards for a barn-dance with the wifelet and M&D -
good fun, but exhausting - pwrt. the work waiting back at home.
-
Yet more packaging, race condition hunting, permissions &
imaging problem hunting, device testing, yet more image building and
so on. Found and fixed blocker telepathy / mission-control / empathy /
anerley startup race.
In case it's not painfully obvious: the reflections reflected here are my
own; mine, all mine ! and don't reflect the views of Novell, The
Lithuanian Gov't or Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's also important to
realise that I'm not in on the Swedish Conspiracy.
Occasionally people ask for formal photos for conferences,
bio.
or fun.
