Ryan Tokarek
Shaun about Ryan:
Ryan and I met in 2001, when I moved to Champaign to work for Wolfram
Research. We quickly became good friends. I moved in with Ryan and
lived with him until Silke and I bought our house at the end of 2006.
It was Ryan that got me out from behind my computer screen, and it was
Ryan that asked me "Did you kiss her yet?" every night when Silke and
I first started dating. Ryan is a true friend, and I wouldn't be where
I am today if it weren't for him.

Drew McCance
Shaun about Drew:
Drew is my older brother. We grew up together, doing the things that
brothers do, like fighting. Older brothers have a way of challenging
younger brothers, even if they don't mean to. Annoying as it sometimes
was, following after Drew certainly made me a better person. He grew
up faster than I did, married Carrie, and had two wonderful children
who will also be in our wedding. He recently started his own
architecture business in Tucson, AZ.

Buddy Gillespie
Shaun about Buddy:
My uncle Buddy moved in with us when I was a teenager. While he was
mature enough to be the adult, he was also young enough to be one of
the guys, in part because of his great sense of humor. Though we may
not have always seen eye-to-eye, he's always been there for me. Buddy
is an incredibly handy guy, and ever since Silke and I bought our house,
he's had to endure constant "how do I..." questions from me.

Zack McCance
Shaun about Zack:
I've known Zack his entire life, ever since I was changing his diapers.
(Sorry kid, embarrassing is an uncle's privilege.) Fourteen years later,
Zack has grown into a smart and talented young man. I'm very excited that
he's taken an interest in music, learned percussion and saved up for his
own drum set, and taught himself to play the keyboard. Though I'm afraid
of being old enough to have a teenage nephew, I'm proud of Zack, and I know
that he'll do well in anything he applies himself to.
