'Lo. You're right. They are pretty and somehow intriguing. That's what you wrote in your photojournal anyway. Yeah it was a long time ago. I did a google search for colourblind tests and there it was. So anyway, I've done a couple of things based on those tests using Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop, though all the circles were individually placed and aren't perfectly circular (I didn't have a filter that did it or anything) and I've made the edges darker, and all the dots subtly different colours so I don't think they look too clean or obviously computer generated. They took so long, but you'll understand that it was quite calming and theraputic. So yeah this is an unsolicited commercial email of sorts. I uploaded one of my designs to cafepress last summer and I've only sold two shirts, even though I think it's better than 98% of the crap on cafepress. So in order to promote my products I decided to do a search to see who might be interested. You're the second person I've contacted. The first said she couldn't afford it. Bah. This may not seem to be a very efficient way of marketing but I think that once the shirts are out there being seen people are going to ask the wearers about them. I know I was. Plus I just love the idea that someone out there is wearing my design. I'm an art student (and poor I might add) so it would be very encouraging if nothing else. So anyway the message (in a loveheart) is Death to the Colourblnd. You could say it was satirizing irrational bigotry. Or maybe it's spreading the message that those who are ignorant of colour must be weeded out. Whatever, people seem to laugh at it, after squinting for a second. So if this has got past your junkmail filter, you're a mammal and curious by nature, so you'll be wanting the link by now. http://www.cafeshops.com/loveisblind After reading your journal, I don't really understand what you do but it seems to involve linux and being very busy. However if you have the time any comments/criticism is appreciated. Joe
